You wake up to 47 unread emails. Three are actually important — a contract that needs signing by noon, a question from your kid's teacher, and a shipping notification you've been waiting for. The rest? Newsletters, promotions, automated receipts, and a reply-all thread that should have been a Slack message.

Meggy's Email Agent watches your inbox the way a great assistant would. It reads every incoming message, figures out what matters, and takes action — flagging the urgent stuff, drafting replies, and quietly archiving the noise. All of this happens privately on your computer, not in someone else's cloud.

How It Works

Connecting Your Inbox

The agent connects to your email account using standard IMAP (for reading) and SMTP (for sending). Built-in presets handle the configuration for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and iCloud — just enter your email address and an app-specific password, and you're connected. The agent monitors your inbox in real time, processing new messages as they arrive.

Five Intelligence Modes

You choose how autonomous you want the agent to be:

Mode	What It Does
Monitor & Alert	Classifies incoming emails and sends you an alert (via Telegram, Discord, or desktop notification) when something urgent arrives. Never sends replies on its own.
Auto-Reply	Reads incoming emails and automatically drafts and sends replies that match your writing style. Skips spam and newsletters.
Triage & Classify	Tags every email with a category and priority score. Builds a daily digest summarizing your inbox state.
Draft Assist	Prepares draft replies without sending them. Flags threads where a response is overdue. Great for people who want AI help but want final say.
Full Autonomous	Everything above, combined. Triages, replies, archives noise, drafts follow-ups, extracts knowledge, and delivers daily summaries.

Security First

Every inbound email passes through a security guard before the agent sees it. This guard scans for prompt injection attacks (someone trying to trick the AI via email content), strips dangerous HTML elements, and removes hidden zero-width characters. Emails with high threat scores are silently dropped — the agent never processes them.

What Your Email Agent Can Do

Beyond reading and replying, the agent comes with six specialized tools:

• Classify — Sorts emails into categories like urgent, important, informational, promotional, spam, or newsletter, each with a 1–5 priority score and a suggested next step
• Summarize Threads — Condenses long email chains into a structured overview with participants, key points, and action items
• Search — Find emails using plain language: "show me unread emails from Sarah about the budget since last Monday"
• Schedule Sends — Queue an email to go out at a specific time — up to 30 days in advance
• Cancel Scheduled — Changed your mind? Cancel a queued send before it goes out
• Extract Knowledge — Pull contacts, commitments, and deadlines from email threads and store them in your Vault for future reference

Multiple Accounts, One Dashboard

Run separate agent instances for each of your email accounts — work inbox, personal email, shared family account. Each instance has its own credentials, operation mode, and priority rules. The Email Inbox Widget in the Agents Dashboard gives you a unified view of all activity across instances.

Setting Up

1. Open the Agents Dashboard and find Email Agent
2. Click Add Instance and pick your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, or Custom)
3. Enter your email address and app-specific password
4. Choose an Agent Goal — start with Monitor & Alert if you're cautious, or dive in with Full Autonomous
5. Optionally set Priority Rules in plain language (e.g. "Emails from my boss are always urgent")
6. Choose an Alert Delivery Channel if you want notifications on Telegram or Discord
7. Click Save — the agent starts monitoring immediately
